The city of Mangalore boasts a semi-tropical climate, situated at an ideal latitude and sea level.
With the Western Ghats in close proximity, gently ascending, Mangalore is a haven for nature and ecology, hosting a diverse range of flora and fauna.
Some of this natural beauty can be found right in my compound, where we frequently encounter various insects and exquisite butterflies fluttering around the plants.
I have captured a few moments with my mobile phone camera. The butterfly in the photos is the Psyche Butterfly – Leptosia nina, very difficult to photograph like this with open wing.
